Thank you for sharing this Kris. I believe that in a way the 3 Cs and the 3 U's are different sides of the same coin.
But again, thanks for sharing. Our homes and the world would be a much better place if we move closer to what you are saying.
How much do you know about your subconscious mind? Or, let me rephrase it: do you know what your (our) subconscious mind is?
I used to think that our subconscious is this black box formed in our very early years (even from before birth), which we can only begin to try to understand. I now understand that it is something which we can easily see, experience, and yes, change.
Let me explain, simply.
1. The subconscious is mostly built on memories.
2. Memories are tied to emotions — the stronger the emotion, the stronger the memory. Also, memories trigger emotions…
“I have a dream”, Martin Luther King said in one of the most iconic speeches in the history of humankind. Yet, many people only know that one sentence out of the whole speech. Some know just the four words, and the general topic of the rest of the speech. It is because what made it so powerful that it is still mentioned today, is the dream.
But, what is a dream? What makes it so powerful? What can I do to harness it and soar?
This is what we will be discussing here, so join us to find out.
Jesus preached (by word and example) a lot about love. Love for God and love for others. “Love your neighbour as yourself.” (Luke 10: 27b), He said. That is what love is. It may be easy to say you “do not hate” others, perhaps even to say that you “love” others; but to really love everyone? To treat others as you would treat yourself, or want others to treat you? To treat everyone as if they were those dearest to you? Some might even say “of course” to that. That is the way we should live, is it not?
A couple of weeks ago 50 people were killed in Christchurch, New Zealand and countless others were injured.
Who killed these people? Was it the act of a solitary gunman?
It was not. If it were, it would not be so difficult to put a stop to this. This was the work of many more people. This was the act of gunmen and their leaders. This was the act of governments and other leaders. …
One of the most common questions I get asked when meeting new people is “What do you do?” You know the expected answer to that question, don’t you? It could well have been phrased differently as in “What is your job?”
Research has shown time and time again that words are very important because they also shape reality. This is why I think that in most cases this is the wrong question to ask. It implies that the most important thing about you is your job. That you are your job. It implies that if you are currently unemployed you…
I feel that fresh air from open windows (especially in the early morning) and fresh flowers bring a positive energy into the house and all those who come in contact with it.
Some months ago we moved to a new house which has a small garden with it. I am no gardener and my fingers are far from green, I’m afraid, but still, it was full of promise. A couple of trees, some herbs and flowers. Oh, and the visiting birds who make the atmosphere so much brighter with their cheerful chirping.
Now that we have this garden with flowers…
It seems that the magic is working. From that one view from my own laptop two months ago, things have inexplicably grown without the benefit of a social circle from my offline life to help it grow. Last month I had 995 views on my Wordpress blog. This month I have as many and we´re only halfway through. More importantly, I am enjoying every single moment of it. But all of a sudden, this.
I am doubting. Not whether I can make it or not, because I see it more as a journey than as anything else. So, no matter…
